For those of you who missed our days at the old studio, you probably didn’t know that we had a massage room too! That’s right, we offered all kinds of specialty massages – Indian Head, Ayurvedic to name a few. But what we were most famous for was our THAI YOGA MASSAGES!
WHAT’S A THAI YOGA MASSAGE?
A Thai Yoga massage session differs from a Swedish massage in that it is conducted on a thick mat on the floor, and the client remains fully clothed in loose clothing. A session can last as long as two hours and consists of dynamic and fluid combinations of techniques that move, stretch and twist the client, in almost yoga-like moves while they are positioned on their back, front, side, and sitting cross-legged on the floor. Thai Yoga massage affects the entire body by increasing flexibility, releasing both deep and superficial tension, and promoting inner peace and a quiet mind. Most report that following a session, they feel taller, more graceful, and experience an amazing sense of freedom in their body.
Well Roxanne Tarkus was one of the best! Don’t judge her by her height and size either…THAT woman comes in a small package, but has the strength to move anyone around during their massage!
